I found this blog in my drafts folder and thought it was kinda funny…Storytime with Bianca…
Do you ever have those days where everything is a song or you just wish you had a mood ring that played a song depending on your mood?!
It happens to me all the time..a word that I say or someone else says get’s my song database in action.
Another day in New York and this time we took the morning off to rest and appreciate the day as it came. We eventually headed out to the city and ventured into Soho, my favorite place in NYC. Soho is your ultimate shopping destination with streets covered in shopping. We took the subway in and did a great job at it. Managing not to get lost we ended up on Canal street.
Canal Street = cheap knock offs! Let me tell you that you cannot walk Canal street without someone telling you “Watches?! Louie Vuitton?! Coach?! Handbag?!” Just because I wasn’t carrying a purse didn’t mean that I was looking to buy one…especially a knock off?!? I couldn’t help, but laugh at the amount of people hustling rain or shine. A block away from China Town and Little Italy we had to at least do it for the experience. After five minutes we had enough and went into the direction of a less calmer and nicer part of Soho. We walked towards the museums and looked into a small art gallery. It was filled with interesting pieces and moved on quickly before the museum closed.
We passed fun pubs, fancy restaurants, graffitied art walls and eventually reached the museum. Being that it closed in half an hour, we skipped the tour and appreciated the lobby art.
Quickly after we hit the streets again, walking to see what we could find. We went into a small art/fashion/independent designer market set up in a school’s auditorium. There were such creative works and so much talent just in the few tables that were showcased. Where else could you find bracelets made out of records or t-shirts with authentic photography. I would for sure keep an eye out for unique places like this again and spend my money on independent crafts.
We kept walking and heard chanting coming from another door. We couldn’t help ourselves and peeked. It was a Russian church! It was small, but the inside of the building looked incredibly ordained and it was covered in lush fabrics in red and gold. Seeing nothing like this before we quietly creeped out and kept walking.
We met up a friend from New Jersey for some Thai food and it was delish! We managed to miss that we were drinking during happy hour and missed the $2 beers! Hearing so much about the nightlife in the meatpacking district we headed in that direction. Keep in mind there’s a misty drizzle on us as we walk.
We stopped by a bar and caught up on some beers along with some good conversation. We got there just in time snagging a table as it quickly filled up a few minutes later.
Because the night was not planned we went ahead and winged the rest of the night and boy did we ever! Someone mentioned going to a club and we all shrugged it off because we were all in casual attire. One beer after another we all said, what the heck, why not?!?
There we were again, along with the rest of the Saturday nightlife walking the streets. Not only were we walking in the mist, slowly getting drenched we were walking 40 blocks!
Why don’t we just take a cab?!? Bright idea….except none of us could get a hold of one. Out of the five of us yelling and waving our hands in the air…still nothing. We continued walking and soaking up the mist. Not only were we all casually dressed we were soaked with messy hair and pretty much looked like hot messes!
Guido(a)
Yes! This was the word of the trip and we couldn’t stop saying it. Everyone we saw in New York was a guida or guido…we even ended up calling each other that. As we thought we were getting closer to the club we couldn’t help, but laugh at how ridiculous we looked and sounded…Who on earth was going to let us into their club?!?!
Finally! We saw our destination and to our surprise Samantha Ronson was the DJ of the night. We walked up to the “promoter” and hoped after this long journey we could at least get in and not have to worry about what to do next. He looked over at us and said, “Go ahead.” I couldn’t believe that we were good to go. We handed over the $20 cover, walked in and walked straight to coat check. That is a downer in NY. You can’t leave home without a coat and once you get to your destination you have to check your coat.
The rest of the night is history. We danced all over the club, including on the stage for some of us and drank the night away. The walk home was a little dreadful and once we got back to the subway it was another wait for our train to arrive. It was 4:45AM and I couldn’t wait to get home.BM
If anyone dared me to eat a pig ear…I would absolutely say no! Little did I know my sneaky boyfriend ordered it and I had no idea till after I pretty much ate it all!
I guess that’s what happens when the entire menu is in French and you don’t bother to read the english description.
If you take a trip here….promise me you’ll give the menu a chance and order Pig Ears…I have to admit they are now a big fave!
This place had great unique specialty drinks inluding the rare absinthe. Not only did I have a fantastic dinner, but I noticed they also offered brunch.
Sorry parents you’ll have to get yourself a babysitter to hit this gem up and first timers will for sure have a memorable date just sitting in the brick covered atmosphere.
So maybe you’re not Catholic, but hey it’s a challenge and a test of will power as well…
I’ve even convinced some of my no-catholic friends to try it.
I’ve already been tested by back to back chocolate and snack commercials, which forced me to get out and stop watching TV. I’m giving up two things this year chocolate and alcohol soooOooo…I have a feeling day 15 is where I might start going crazzzzzzzzzzzy!!

I’ve always had an obsession with mascara and fake eyelashes. A good mascara makes your eyes pop and helps to highlight smaller eyes.
Mascara is one of those products I can never have too much of in my makeup bag and I always have a tube in my purse!
I recently discovered a mascara that not only is great, but has a built in mirror and light on the case. Currently it only comes in a shade of “Patent Black.”
This product is genius and perfect when you are on the go or in a crowded dark bathroom and need a touch-up.
The tube of mascara is in a rectangle shape and the mirror is built into one side of the tube. It’s perfect when you need a quick look too see if you’ve got anything in your teeth or need to fix a smudge.

The light is an easy button and is attached to the back of the brush cap. When you turn on the light, it radiates through the brush making it easy to get a clean coat on your lashes.
The product is priced at $25.00 at Sephora online as well as on the Too Faced website.

Love, Love, Love this product and you can check it out in stores like Sephora.

The previews for the movie Wolf Man are eerie and suck you in with the bone breaking transformations. Being a pansy for scary movies I courageously went to the screening and tried to be tough next to complete strangers at every sign of a FULL MOON.
The Story: If you know nothing about the Wolf Man story then this one will bang it on the nail. It’s pretty traditional and I must admit while some parts of the movie were scary other’s were expected and a bit funny. Then again depending on your horror intake you might think otherwise after watching. There is plenty of gore, a powerful family conflict and a not so over bearing love story.
The Set: Absolutely beautiful! The setting in each scene was picturesque and every detail was well thought out. From the spider webs, each piece of furniture to the realistic feel of the village I was visually transported. Unusually there were grotesque and distorted scenes that howled, Gorgeous!
The Costumes: Each character was appropriately dressed and had me thinking. “How did they dress like that back then?” and “How cool do they look so sharp and debonair!” Of course the wolf man’s makeup appeared as if it took days to do and was probably done as realistic as possible. It looked as if a lot of effort went into the Wolf Man but, there was something that still didn’t look realistic. Then again how real can you make a wolf man look using makeup?!?! That’s where the awesome effects came in and made the transition from man into wolf and back again really monstrous and extreme.
The Acting:

Benicio Del Toro: I am a HUGE fan of Benicio Del Toro and admire his acting. He consumed the character and bizarre tone of the movie in every scene.

Emily Blunt: You might have catched her as the assistant in The Devil Wears Prada. She was very romantic and this movie showed her serious side of acting.

Anthony Hopkins: He is wonderful in scary movies. How can you not think of In every scene that I saw Hopkins and Del Toro reassured that they were perfect for this movie!

The Valentine’s Day Movie Premiere Party in Hollywood was nothing short of sprinkled in elegance. I felt as if I was in a fairy tale and LOVED that the tent was adorned in chandeliers and pink froth. Of course Godiva Chocolate and Crumbs Cupcakes twitter-pated my heart and I was on a sugar high until midnight.
You’ve seen the shows, where we (the viewer) gets a look into the extravagant homes of movie stars, musicians, athletes and there is always that moment where you are invited into “THE BEDROOM” or what most say “Where all the Magic Happens.”
Not only looks delicious, but also REALLY comfortable!
Surprisingly most of the time “The Magic” isn’t exciting and looks just like the one you sleep on, but there are those times where you see a bed and you say to yourself, “What were they thinking” or “How do I get one of those?!”
RAAAWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRR!!
Just to creepy for me….but A- for imagination….
Ok..only part of this looks sleep-able and what a hard landing if you fall off!
Doesn’t this scream “Oregon Trail?!?!”

These days money is tight for MOST of us and it’s tough finding great things to do on the cheap!! I just found this great site that offers fabulous discounts to fabulous places.
It is a sign up offer, but I wouldn’t be sharing this if I didn’t approve of it and/or was having problems with it. PLUS all you need to submit is your e-mail address and the city that you live in.

So Check It:
1) Sign Up = It’s a 2 step CHEESY EASY process
2) Visit the site or check your e-mail for the deals of the day!
3) If you’re interested then BUY the deal and submit your payment.
**side note**
The amount of people needed to get the deal needs to be reached and if it doesn’t then your card will not be charged. You can also change your mind and cancel the Groupon that you bought.

You can also BUY a Groupon to BUY a GIFT and have it e-mailed or printed. This is great because you can search by city or submit a cities zipcode.

So don’t sacrifice a good time and I must say there were some great V-Day gift packages, which means there might be more great Holiday Groupons to come!!
If you watched my interview with Brandon Rogers he was wearing a teething bracelet! I’ve gotten a few comments on where you can get one so here are the details:
They are made by “Oh! Plah” and are baby safe. They run at $19.99 on the makers website. PLUS you can actually wear them and only other mom’s will probably know what it’s actually for.
I even tried one on and it was pretty thick, but comfortable.
